More than an expression..........

This is beet red! The real thing. My bro-in-law is a great sport and let me plant beets in his garden this summer. I didn't know he HATED them as do his wife (hey sista!) and their kids. So, here I am on a Saturday night, baking and peeling beets. What can I say? I like 'em!

You just can't beat beets. I love em too. Beet soup, pickled eggs or beets on the side. Any way at all.
