Let's hear it for TERRAPIN!

Inspiration, move me brightly
Light the song with sense of colour
Hold away despair
More than this I will not ask
Faced with mysteries dark and vast
Statements just seem vain at last
Some rise, some fall, some climb
To get to Terrapin

Counting stars by candlelight
Some are dim but one is bright
The spiral light on Venus
Rising first and shining best
Oh, from the north-west corner
Of a brand new crescent moon
Where crickets and cicadas sing
A rare and different tune
Terrapin Station
In the shadow of the moon
Terrapin Station
And I know we'll be there soon

I can't figure out
If it's the end or beginning
But the train's put it brakes on
And the whistle is screaming
Terrapin

Wow! I've never heard of this before. It looks amazing!!!
p.s. Pop on over and visit my new blog home. I'll put the coffee on.
:o)
I've never read the lyrics to a grateful dead song-doubt I've ever listened to them on purpose-not in my generation but this is wonderful. I think it's so interesting that before bands and writing lyrics became popular poets were cool, but now all the poets write good songs and no one gives a damn about poetry. Puts me in a bit of a bind-but hey-at least I have plenty of inspiration and examples to go by. :)
I'm JEALOUS!!!
I won't get to go!
That looks like it would be a blast!! I never get the chance to go to anything like that :(
A few years ago it was in Bridgeport, CT (at Seaside Park). Great party, great music, GREAT.
Wow, had not heard of this before....but I guess there's nothing left to do but smile smile smile...and head to Mariaville. Great site, I'll be back!
