Single, Widowed, Divorced, Separated - in that order!
Five things I liked about being married:
1.
I got a decent tax break (husband #3)
2. Free haircuts! (husband #2 - he was a stylist)
3. Flew the airlines for cost of taxes only (husband #1 - he worked for the airlines)
4. Felt like a princess (husband #3 - he was a cheater! too bad he also made other woman feel like a princess! once a cheater..........)
5. Combined records, cassettes, CD's, books and videos! (all applicable)

No, not in this one either!
A few of my city friends (holla!) asked me if I was in the last picture I posted from this website and I'm sorry to say "no". The answer is the same for this one but if they are ever doing a project in my area, you know I'll be there with rings on my fingers and bells on my shoes! Care to join me? I'll drive!

Here comes Sunshine!
It may get close to 50 degrees today and I, for one, am going to get out there a bit and enjoy the sunshine. It's going to be a great day for an Easter Egg hunt! While I'm not planning on participating myself, I'm happy for all of you will be. And if you've hid them in your home, I hope you've counted them. It's never fun to have to search for them with your nose!

Just for Giggles!
A friend. recently made this little poster for me to try out a new program. I finally was able to sneak it into my sister's. and surprise (?) her with it. Ha! She's planning on moving into the basement and placing it over the dartboard. Figures her hubbie will get a lot of mileage out it that way!

Consider this!
Well, I screwed up my footer yesterday. After several unsuccessful attempts to correct it (and thanks for your help with it T), I've decided to forget about putting this on my template for now. I'll settle for a simple blog.
Here's the interesting part, at least to me. I began a new blog only to get the proper HTML for the old. (didn't work)
It sat there, this new blog, error codes and all until I decided to just go ahead and throw myself into it. So here it is.

Women Who Rock!
This photo is not from the latest performance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony but The Pretenders DID perform, along with the rest of the inductees. Why highlight her? Let's face it, she's the queen of Women Who Rock! And afterall, I'm a chick! I bow to you, Chrissie!

A Question of Balance
Five of the uncoolest. At least 5 that I'm willing to put out there! It should be noted that all qualify for the list "Things I would NEVER do again"
1. Outted a friend in a drunken stupor
2. Flipped off my Dad (RIP) in traffic - I didn't know it was him
3. Had an affair with a married man
4. Read someone else's e-mail without their knowledge
5. This one sent to PostSecret". Maybe they'll post it, maybe they won't....dirty little secret

Five of the coolest things I've done in my life (so far)

2. Started a DC-10. Talk about power! (note: didn't do this to attend above)
3. Lived in New Orleans. Great Food, Great Culture, Great Times
4. Been married to 3 men that I loved and still love
5. Moved from NYC to Vermont - a hugh leap of faith****These also qualify for the list "The best things I've ever done for myself"

"May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light"
I'm certain to be uninspired to do this in the morning so.....Happy St. Paddy's Day to all my Irish friends, relatives (by injection, not blood) and blog surfers. For those of you who plan on getting shitfaced, please don't drive. You would surely think twice about it if you ever lost someone you loved to drunk driving. And to all you designated drivers, thanks! You may save a life! Have fun!

The best part of waking up
Boy, it's really hard to even think about a caption here without the coffee. Is there a twelve step program for THIS drug? Sometimes it's a real monkey on my back. This first cup is just about starting to kick in now. I'm off for round two. Here we go.

Little Stevie Orbit
It's great to see an old favorite in an intimate setting. When I saw Steve Forbert 20 years ago at The Stanhope House in Jersey (Holla!), there were no song requests, no witty exchanges, no "sing-a-longs". He was great back then and he was great last night. Different people, different times! Willing to sign autographs afterwards, Janet and I passed. I got it from him way back when and I guess I was a little afraid he might remember me. I don't think I made a good impression! Instead, we opted for a late night breakfast at the local Denny's. Then it was time for bed for these old-timers!

A drug, is a drug, is a drug!
It's amazing to me that 17 years ago today I ended my downward spiral with drugs and alcohol. Don't get me wrong - I have nothing against them. If you can do it, more power to ya'!
Thanks for remembering, Mom. More importantly, thanks for never giving up on me!

Hallucinogenius
What's in a name?
I accidentally deleted this post but having become so quickly attached to it, I feel compelled to give it another go. I find it interesting how we we give ourselves names in an effort to help people understand us better. It's funny how in the end, so few perceive us as we perceive ourselves. When someone has evaluated a character trait of mine, I've found it exciting, interesting, confusing and sometimes disheartening. Do we really want someone inside our head? I guess it depends on who it is and what's in there!

It sure is early but for some strange reason, that's ok. I know all you friends reading from NYC (holla!) will be surprised by that. Actually, I am too! My job gets me up early at times. The hours change somewhat but nothing like the restaurant business. The radio DJ is getting ready to announce school closings and delays this morning due to icey conditions and it just started snowing like crazy! That doesn't seem to bother me much either but that feeling may change in a few hours after I've driven in it. I'm grateful for a short commute. And yes, I've gotten a car - it's a necessity now! Thanks to all of you for your recent e-mails and blog posts, (Jen, marriage hasn't changed you a bit! You are still a funny girl! And the answer to your question is "I wish"!), it was sure nice to hear from all of you!

What's better than family?
When you're old enough to see your little sister this age, it's so special to be able to see her start her own family! Patrick Dolan, son of Kelli and Kevin

I'm afraid we're off to a bad start.
It seems my blog and I have not yet bonded in any way. I am concerned that this relationship will not last! We have spent many intimate hours together this evening and cannot seem to reach a common ground. I don't consider myself computer illiterate yet communication "taunts" us. Perhaps in the light of day I will have a different outlook.
